Sakura International School Kyoto Campus is located a fifteen-minute walk from Katsura Station on the Hankyu Kyoto Line. It is conveniently located for dropoff and pickup. Children can move around the spacious playground freely and engage in a variety of different types of play. The children can observe and experience the changing seasons through the greenery and nearby shrines and temples. This is an ideal learning environment, allowing the children to develop a sense of community and grow up healthy, both physically and mentally.

The most iconic feature of Kyoto campus would be “a bright campus filled with smiles and laughter”. We value “teamwork”. Staff at Kyoto campus are all friendly and hard workers! They  listen to any parental concerns and think together to come up with any helpful advice. 

Kyoto campus is an individual building, with its own playground equipped with a big sandpit and a slide. We have pool time during the summer to have fun with water, children getting muddy!
We offer right brain education for ELC, and inquiry based learning for kindergarten, which is very unique compared to many other international schools. This is a place where you can provide your child(ren) to learn skills to live in the 21st century.

Is your kindergarten eligible for the free childhood and childcare program?

Sakura International School has met the standards set by the government and is accredited so please be reassured.

At our kindergarten, families in K1, K2 and K3 can receive up to 37,000 yen per month regardless of income.

Please check with your local municipal office for details and procedures regarding financial support.
In households with stay-at-home parents, childcare services at unlicensed kindergartens or after-school programs at kindergartens are not covered by the free childcare policy.

We hold information sessions for individual families periodically. Please feel free to contact a campus office to discuss possible dates.
