International Baccalaureate
The International Baccalaureate (IB) is an international educational organization established in Switzerland to provide a uniform, high quality educational curriculum across countries and regions, and currently has over 4,100 accredited schools around the world.
The IB aims to create a better, more peaceful world through education as its mission.
In the IB education, children develop skills that will be useful even in the times of uncertainty, learn multiple perspectives and gain deep understanding of the world around them: natural world, human society, language, the development and identities of self and others, people’s expressions, and more, from the local to global levels. Through the education of the PYP framework, we develop learners who are characterized by the 10 Learner Profile Attributes.

IB Learner Profile
These attributes are the characteristics that learners demonstrate as their actions and attitudes throughout their lives not only at school, but also in their daily lives. At KIA, these attributes are used in a form of learning goals for their classes and lessons, references for reflection and feedback. They are also embedded in the Programme of Inquiry as traits to develop as results of the learning.
